Das Niederländische DoelenKwartet sowie die anderen Solisten und die Sinfonia Rotterdam scheinen die perfekten Interpreten für Hartmanns so eindringliche Kammermusik. Sie leisten Erstaunliches und geben dieser so besonderen Edition auch musikalisch den entsprechenden Status einer Referenzeinspielung. Diese Edition muss man hören!

First and foremost, there’s the playing of the orchestra. Founded in 2000 by conductor Conrad van Alphen, this is a young outfit, but how tight the ensemble is, and what a lovely sound they produce. Listen to the warm glow given off in the opening Moderato movement of the Dvořák! This disc has given me increasing pleasure.
